Nicki Minaj Doubles Down After the Midterms — Chucky’s Creator Claps Back as Her “Still Your President” Post Goes Viral
Written by Kiss Media on 5 November 2026

Nicki Minaj went all in for Donald Trump and the GOP on Election Day — and the week since has turned into one of the loudest social media storms of her career, complete with a clapback from the creator of Chucky himself.
It started on Tuesday, when Nicki shared an AI-generated image of the killer doll from the Child’s Play franchise wearing a pink suit and a “Vote Red” button, writing “HAPPY ELECTION DAY!!!” to her followers. She has been using Chucky memes to push her political views for months, but this time the man who created the character decided he had seen enough.
Filmmaker Don Mancini fired back directly, making it clear that Chucky would never be pushing for the Right. “Chucky has a trans kid,” Mancini wrote alongside a photo of an actual Chucky doll. “Chucky protects the dolls. Chucky is anti-ICE. Chucky says ‘A BLUE WAVE’ is coming, as BLUE as my f**kin’ eyes!”
The reference was not random. Chucky’s gender-fluid child Glen/Glenda was introduced in the 2004 film Seed of Chucky, and the character later explored their gender identity more explicitly in the Chucky television series. Mancini was drawing on the franchise’s own story to make his point — and he was not finished. Once it became clear that Democrats had swept the midterms, winning back the House and Senate, he returned with a photo of the doll sporting blue hair and a message aimed straight at Nicki: “Too bad, Nicki! No AI, by the way! #bluewave”
Nicki did not respond to Mancini directly. Instead, on Wednesday night, she answered the results with a defiant 15-point post of her own. “Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT,” she opened, followed by “The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION” and “Jesus is STILL LORD.” She praised Vice President JD Vance for his “great insight,” congratulated Republican winners including Florida Governor-elect Byron Donalds and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, thanked her fans — “The BARBZ are STILL PRETTY!!!” — and told Republicans to “WAKE UP.” She closed the list with “Stay tuned & STAY MAD,” a note that Elon Musk is still a trillionaire, and praise for Grok Bot as a “phenomenal product.” She even posted a short video of herself staring into the camera, answering the ridicule head-on.
It is the latest chapter in Nicki’s increasingly vocal embrace of Trump and conservative politics, a run that has already included a Saturday Night Live roast, talk of a White House press secretary role, and plenty of backlash from fans and fellow artists alike. Through all of it, she has not backed down an inch — and this week, not even Chucky’s creator could change her mind.
Whether you love the posts or cannot look away from them, one thing is certain: Nicki Minaj knows exactly how to keep the timeline talking.
