Sixteen years strong, and still giving back. **The 16th Annual Gospel Jazz Dinner & Toy Drive comes to the C.O.A.D. Building, 1243 College Park Drive, Dover, DE, on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 7:00 PM, with appetizers served at 6:30 PM.**
Join Alabaster Box Events LLC for an uplifting night of gospel jazz, dinner, and toy donations supporting local families. Live gospel jazz comes from Tony Smith and The Band, the evening is hosted by Comedienne K Mack, and the program also features the mime ministry “Silently Speaking Through Christ.” Attire is semi-formal, and the toy drive is the heart of the night: a celebration that feeds the soul and makes sure local children have something waiting under the tree.

### HISTORY
Sixteen annual editions is a legacy in itself. The Gospel Jazz Dinner & Toy Drive has become a December fixture in Dover, pairing an evening of live gospel jazz with a toy drive that puts gifts directly into the hands of local families. It is the kind of community event that runs on generosity: neighbors buying a ticket, bringing a toy, and sitting down together over dinner and music.
Gospel jazz sits at the crossroads of two great traditions: the spiritual power of gospel and the improvisation and swing of jazz. From Mahalia Jackson to Kirk Franklin to the jazz-gospel of artists like Gregory Porter, the sound has always been about lifting a room, and a live band in an intimate hall is where it hits hardest. Tony Smith and The Band carry that tradition into the C.O.A.D. Building for the 16th year, with a mime performance adding a visual word to the evening’s message.
### TICKETS
Tickets: $45 adults, $20 children (ages 7 to 13). Eventbrite lists General Admission at $49.87 including fees.
