Candlelight Tribute to Lauryn Hill Lights Up Baltimore
Lauryn Hill’s catalog is getting the candlelight treatment. Candlelight: Tribute to Lauryn Hill, performed by the Listeso String Quartet, comes to France Hall at the Maryland Center for History and Culture (610 Park Ave, Baltimore) on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Tickets start at $55 via Fever.
Lauryn Hill rose as the unmistakable voice of the Fugees before her 1998 solo debut The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill became the first rap album to win the Grammy for Album of the Year, with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” hitting No. 1. This 60-minute tribute reimagines her songbook — plus Fugees and Wyclef classics like “Killing Me Softly,” “Fu-Gee-La,” “Ready or Not,” “Ex-Factor,” “To Zion,” and “Nothing Even Matters” — as a string-quartet performance in a candlelit historic hall. (Note: this is a tribute series, not affiliated with the artist.)
Tickets are on sale now.
