Delaware State Police arrested a 13-year-old Dover boy after a BB gun was found in his backpack at a Camden middle school last week.
On October 7, the School Resource Officer at F. Niel Postlethwait Middle School on South State Street responded after school staff found the BB gun during a safety search. Staff had been told the student dropped a vaping device in the hallway. No one was injured.
The teen was charged with Possession of a Firearm in a Safe School Zone, a felony, and was released on his own recognizance to a parent/guardian after arraignment in Family Court.
