BloodHound Q50’s Autopsy Reveals He Was Shot Five Times in Chicago Ambush
Written by Kiss Media on 19 October 2026
New details have come out about the tragic killing of Chicago drill rapper BloodHound Q50, and they are absolutely heartbreaking. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s autopsy report, the 22-year-old artist — born Mikquale T. Cooper — was struck five times by gunfire in a brazen ambush last month, hit in the head, neck, back, and left shoulder.
Investigators recovered roughly 50 rifle and 9mm shell casings from the scene at a BP gas station on the 4200 block of South Wentworth Avenue in Chicago’s Fuller Park neighborhood. The toxicology report also showed Q50 had opioids, cannabis, and a benzodiazepine in his system at the time of his death.
Surveillance footage of the September 13th shooting tells a chilling story. Around 4 in the morning, Q50 is seen walking out of the gas station store, stepping back inside briefly, then coming out again before getting into his white Tesla. Moments later, six gunmen opened fire on the car — more than 50 shots — then fled in multiple vehicles. One of the alleged gunmen is said to have walked into the store beforehand, appearing to spot Q50 before the shooting started. No arrests have been made.
A woman who was riding with Q50 that night identified herself in a Facebook post and strongly denied speculation that she set him up. She told police she fled the Tesla after the shots rang out and hid in a stranger’s car, and she said people had wanted Q50 dead. In her post, she described him as her “homie,” her “lover,” and the father of her unborn child, asking the public to put respect on his name.
The case may be connected to another tragedy: police are also looking at possible links between Q50’s murder and the September 30th killing of 26-year-old Naseem D. Stevens — known as rapper Poohman, a BloodHound and DrillCity affiliate — who was gunned down at a Chicago gas station after attending Q50’s funeral.
BloodHound Q50 was one of drill’s rising stars. His official release of “Make It Far” had pulled in more than 5.5 million YouTube views by September, and his nine-song project “Get Back Or Die Trying” dropped on August 6th of this year. He performed at Rolling Loud in Orlando earlier this year. His camp’s recent single “Head Taps” was his last release before his death.
Rest in peace to BloodHound Q50 — gone at just 22. Check out his latest official video, “Still With Me [My Girl],” right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6CfRENUnUY
