Diddy Transferred to New Federal Prison in Pennsylvania After Fort Dix Infractions

Written by on 17 October 2026

Kiss 101.7 fam, Diddy is on the move again. The Bad Boy mogul has been transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to a new federal prison in Allenwood, Pennsylvania — a move that comes after weeks of headlines about his behavior behind bars.

TMZ first reported Friday morning (Oct. 16) that Sean Combs was moved to the Federal Correctional Institution in Allenwood, a low-security facility that houses around 1,000 inmates — a far cry from the 4,000 at Fort Dix. The Federal Bureau of Prisons hasn’t given an official reason for the transfer, but the change of scenery is widely seen as a safety and security decision rather than a disciplinary one. Diddy’s rep, Juda S. Engelmayer, put it this way: “We appreciate the Bureau of Prisons taking the safety and security of Sean and everyone involved seriously. His transfer from one low-security facility to another is an important distinction, and while we cannot speak to the BOP’s specific reasons for the move, it is consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind.”

The transfer caps off a rough stretch for the embattled mogul. Diddy reportedly lost 41 days of good time credit and 400 days of commissary privileges after multiple infractions, and spent time in the Special Housing Unit following an exposé about contraband — including a cell phone he was caught on video trying to use, plus reports of inmates cooking for him and doing his laundry. Last weekend, he was rushed by ambulance to an outside hospital after a medical emergency, returning to the facility within 24 hours. Rumors that his head injury came from a fight with a drug lord inmate were flatly denied by the Bureau of Prisons, who called the claim false.

Diddy is currently scheduled to be released March 2, 2028. Whether the smaller, quieter Allenwood facility gives him the calm stretch he’s hoping for remains to be seen.
