Drake Turns 40 in Style: Private CN Tower Party in Toronto, NYC Dinner, and a Private Jet in Between
Written by Kiss Media on 23 October 2026
October’s Very Own is officially entering a new decade. Drake turns 40 tomorrow, Saturday, October 24th — and the 6 God has been celebrating all week long, across two cities, with his mom, his closest friends, and his $185 million customized private jet.
On Wednesday (Oct. 21), Drizzy kicked things off with a private gathering at Toronto’s iconic CN Tower. According to XXL, the intimate celebration included some of his closest friends and colleagues, including OVO signee Popcaan. The crew surprised the birthday boy with a collage of pictures filled with heartfelt memories — a reminder of just how far the kid from Degrassi has come.
The party didn’t stop in the 6. Drake, his mom, and a large entourage hopped in a fleet of SUVs and boarded his customized Air Drake plane, touching down in New York City. On Thursday night (Oct. 22), the rapper was spotted dining with friends at Mamo, an Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo.
And the celebrations are likely just getting started — the big 4-0 officially lands Saturday. Back in September, Drake revealed the one thing he wanted for his birthday: a roast from Jim Carrey, after watching his fellow Canadian flame comedian Jeff Ross in a birthday video. Whether the comedy legend delivers remains to be seen.
The birthday festivities double as a victory lap for one of the biggest years of his career. Drake returned in May with a trifecta of albums — Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti — which all debuted in the top three spots of the Billboard 200. He followed up with the Habibti (FOMO) expanded edition, adding four new tracks including “Solar Eclipse” with Don Toliver, which debuted at No. 5 on the Hot 100.
Looking ahead, the 6 God is reportedly in the headliner conversation for Coachella 2027, per Hits Daily Double — it would be his first time topping the bill since 2015. He’s also promised a full 2027 tour behind his three 2026 projects.
