Ladybug Dark Bloom Music Festival — Oct 31 in Trolley Square
Written by Kiss Media on 15 October 2026
Halloween in Wilmington is getting a brand-new soundtrack. The Ladybug Music Festival presents Dark Bloom, its first-ever Halloween-season offshoot, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM in Trolley Square — and it’s completely FREE.
More than 20 women-fronted acts take multiple stages across the day, with headliners Aziza Nailah, Jenni Schick & The Gourds, and Root Settaz, plus a DJ and a curated marketplace of local makers and vendors. Expect an autumn-meets-Día de los Muertos-meets-Nightmare-Before-Christmas aesthetic — a Halloween celebration built on creativity, music, and community instead of just candy.

HISTORY: The Ladybug Music Festival is billed as the largest 100% woman-fronted, free, multi-genre festival in the United States — a claim that earned it national press from Billboard Magazine in 2018. Created by Wilmington’s Gable Music Ventures in 2012, the flagship block party has been presented by Chase since 2017 on North Market Street, growing to 30+ acts from around the world in recent editions, from Philly ska to Donegal, Ireland to Paris. Dark Bloom is the festival’s first Halloween-season offshoot, reimagining the holiday as a celebration of creativity and community — and with 160+ people already interested, Trolley Square is about to bloom.
