Eddie Griffin — Nov 13 at the Grand Opera House
Written by Kiss Media on 15 October 2026
One of comedy’s most unfiltered voices is coming to downtown Wilmington. Eddie Griffin brings his stand-up to the Grand Opera House on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 8 PM to 10 PM — a night of the no-holds-barred comedy that’s kept him selling out rooms for three decades.
Griffin has never been one to bite his tongue, and his live show is where that reputation was built. Tickets are on sale through the venue’s ticket link — grab yours early, because a Friday night with a comedy legend in an intimate historic theater won’t stay available long.
The Details:
– Date: Friday, November 13, 2026, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
– Venue: Grand Opera House, 818 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801

– One night only — national comedy tour stop
HISTORY: Kansas City native Eddie Griffin stumbled into stand-up as a teenager on a dare — and ended up riffing off-the-cuff for 45 minutes, then buying a one-way ticket to Los Angeles. Voted “Class Clown” three years running, he built a career of nearly 50 screen credits: starring in the cult feature Undercover Brother, appearing opposite Denzel Washington in John Q, and headlining his own UPN sitcom Malcolm & Eddie. His Showtime specials include Undeniable, his 30th-anniversary special filmed in Boston with tributes to Charlie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Dick Gregory, and Richard Pryor, and E-Niggma, filmed at the Sahara in Las Vegas during his “Eddie Griffin Experience” residency. The Grand Opera House on North Market Street is Wilmington’s historic downtown theater and a regular stop for national comedy tours — the perfect room for a comic who feeds off a live crowd.
