Delaware’s two Democratic federal incumbents were projected to win reelection on Tuesday night, according to ABC News projections reported by 6ABC.

In the U.S. Senate race, Sen. Chris Coons was projected to defeat Republican challenger Mike Katz, earning a third full term. With 99 percent of the expected vote reported, Coons led with about 64 percent of the vote to Katz’s 36 percent. Katz, a former Democrat who previously served as a state lawmaker, ran as a Republican. Delaware has not elected a Republican to the Senate in more than three decades.

In Delaware’s at-large U.S. House race, Rep. Sarah McBride was projected to defeat Republican Joseph Arminio, winning another term representing the state’s First Congressional District. With 99 percent of the expected vote reported, McBride led with about 64 percent of the vote to Arminio’s 36 percent.

Both races were called as projections on election night, not final certified results.
