Lil Baby’s “FRESH” Underperforms with Just 6.1 Million First-Day Spotify Streams
Written by Kiss Media on 8 November 2026

Lil Baby’s new album FRESH is out, the fans are listening — but the first-day numbers tell a tougher story than the Atlanta star probably wanted to hear. According to streaming data circulating online, the project pulled around 6.1 million Spotify streams in its first full day. For an artist used to opening at the top of the charts, that is a steep step down.
FRESH arrived on Friday, November 6, as Lil Baby’s fifth studio album — 17 tracks with features from Young Thug, Future, and Rylo Rodriguez, and production from Metro Boomin, Pharrell Williams, London on da Track, and more. Per a track-by-track breakdown shared by Kurrco on X, the album averaged roughly 356,000 streams per song on day one. Excluding the previously released “Dead Fresh” single, the best performer so far is “Mr. Do Something” with 882,000 streams, followed by the Rylo Rodriguez, Future, and Young Thug-assisted “All My Partnas” at 571,000.
The comparison to Baby’s own past work is what stings. His 2025 album WHAM secured 16 million Spotify streams on its first day, while 2022’s It’s Only Me earned 23.6 million. Both of those projects went number one on the Billboard 200. FRESH would need a serious late surge to reach similar heights — and while stranger things have happened in streaming, the gap is a big one.
None of this has gone unnoticed by Baby himself. He recently took to social media to clap back at fans leaving negative comments about the album, pushing back on the “washed” talk that has followed him since WHAM landed to a mixed reception. The fanbase, for its part, is split: plenty of listeners are happy with the new record, while others are already writing it off.
It is worth keeping the full picture in mind, though. Other commercial signs look stronger — FRESH has a heavy presence at the top of Apple Music’s United States chart — and one day of Spotify numbers does not decide an album’s legacy. A late-performing hit or a slow-burn favorite could still flip the narrative. For now, though, the numbers are the numbers, and Baby knows the conversation is happening.
The album’s top track so far is “Mr. Do Something” — press play on the official video below:
