Offset Says the Casino Drama Has Him Hesitant — But He’s Not Done Gambling
Written by Kiss Media on 7 November 2026

Offset has a love-hate relationship with casinos — and after the year he has had inside them, even he admits he is thinking twice before walking back through those doors. But do not mistake hesitation for retirement. The former Migos rapper says he is not done gambling.
TMZ caught up with Offset at LAX on Thursday, November 5, and asked him about his new video with Don Toliver, “Every Night,” which was filmed inside a casino. The clip is the latest preview of Offset’s new album, GMFU, and the setting was no accident. Offset says it is a case of art imitating life — his life is a “movie,” so shooting a video on the casino floor just made sense.
When TMZ’s photographer asked whether all the drama makes him hesitant to go back to a casino, Offset agreed that it does. The catch is in the second half of the answer: hesitant, yes — finished, no. He is still going to play and take his chances here and there. In the video for “Every Night,” he is even shown up about $200,000 at the tables, walking out with a large stack — a flex TMZ pressed him on, along with whether the attention has him thinking about private tables only.
The caution is understandable, because Offset’s 2026 has been anything but a quiet night at the slots. In October, he was filmed arguing with employees at a casino on the Champs-Élysées in Paris during a high-stakes blackjack session, complaining that other players kept being allowed into what he considered his spot while he was betting $10,000 and $20,000 a hand. He claimed he had already beaten the casino out of $200,000 — though word around the table was that he had actually taken a sizable loss that night.
Then there was April, when Offset was shot in the leg outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida after his crew and Lil Tjay’s crew got into a fight that ended in gunfire. He was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Tjay was booked for disorderly conduct and released the next day.
And hanging over all of it is the Detroit casino lawsuit. MotorCity Casino Hotel sued Offset earlier this year, claiming he opened a $100,000 credit line with the casino in March 2024 to keep a night of gambling going, then could not be reached when the bill came due. The suit alleges breach of contract and fraud, and the casino has been seeking a default judgment, with the case still open. A representative for Offset has said they are working toward a resolution.
Through it all, Offset keeps leaning into the narrative instead of running from it. He has even joked that a recent shouting match at a casino was actually a skit — proof he knows exactly how the headlines feed the rollout. Meanwhile, GMFU, originally slated for October 23, is now pointed at November 13, with “Every Night” — built on a flip of Jodeci’s 1995 classic “Freek’n You” — leading the way.
