Written by Kiss Media on 22 October 2026
Bachata royalty is coming to Wilmington. Elvis Martinez — El Camarón himself — brings his Concierto en Vivo to El Maguey on Friday, November 13, 2026, for a night of pure bachata energy.
The show runs from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM Eastern at El Maguey, 3320 Old Capitol Trail in Wilmington, Delaware. Pre-venta tickets are $66 and general admission is $70, and the event flyer lists tickeri, Eventbrite, and BoletosExpress as ticket vendors.
Martinez is set to deliver the hits that made him a bachata staple — an up-close, in-person night of the smooth, guitar-driven sound his fans know by heart.
HISTORY
Known as “El Camarón” — and “El Jefe de la Bachata” — Elvis Martinez was born January 5, 1976, in San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic. He grew up in poverty working odd jobs, shining shoes and assisting in a bakery, before moving to New York in the early ’90s, where he met Aventura’s Lenny Santos — who taught him to play guitar. He signed with Premium Latin Music in the mid-’90s and never looked back.
His 1998 debut album Todo Se Paga won the ACE Award for Revelation of the Year. “Así Te Amo” took home the 2004 Casandra Award for Best Song of the Year, the same year he earned a Premio Lo Nuestro nomination for Best Traditional Tropical Artist. His 2005 album Yo Soy Más Grande Que Él became one of his best sellers, powered by “Tu Traición” and “Yo No Nací Para Amar.” His catalog runs deep — “Maestra,” “La Luz de Mis Ojos,” “Yo Te Voy Amar,” “Directo al Corazón,” “El Profesor” — and he’s shared studios with the genre’s biggest names, from Romeo Santos (“Millonario,” 2019) to Prince Royce (“Veterana,” 2021).
