Jarobi of A Tribe Called Quest & Friends Bring the Tribe Legacy to Blue Note New York Nov 17
New York, get ready for a night steeped in hip-hop history. Jarobi of A Tribe Called Quest & Friends with Live Band take over the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, with sets at 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM. The intimate Greenwich Village room is the perfect setting for a founding member of one of rap’s most beloved groups.
Jarobi White, born in St. Albans, Queens, met Phife Dawg in the early 1980s before the two joined Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad to form A Tribe Called Quest. Jarobi served as host on the group’s debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, and in 2007 he was honored alongside the group at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors. He later returned to music with fellow Native Tongues member Dres in the duo Evitan.
Expect the jazz-laced beats, conversational flows and sharp social insight that made Tribe era-defining, delivered live with a full band in a room built for close listening. Seating is first come, first served, and table seating is all ages while the bar area is 21 and over.
