50 Cent Appears in Court Via Zoom as Tia Kemp Legal Battle Heads Toward December Hearing
Written by Kiss Media on 3 November 2026

50 Cent logged into court from a screen instead of a courtroom this week, as his ongoing legal fight with Tia Kemp took its latest turn.
The Queens rap mogul appeared via Zoom on Tuesday for a hearing on the injunction he is seeking against Kemp, according to reports from TMZ and HotNewHipHop. The case centers on online comments Kemp made about 50 Cent’s son, Sire, and the rapper told the judge he would not even still be pursuing the matter if things had not escalated the way they did.
‘Honestly, if she didn’t respond the way she responded to the order, then I wouldn’t even continue to pursue it,’ 50 Cent told the judge during his brief appearance. ‘But she just went off, and it continued to go in the wrong direction.’
The judge told 50 Cent that how to proceed is his decision, and the matter will be revisited in 30 to 45 days, with the next hearing set for December 7.
Kemp did not appear in court for the hearing, which limited what could be resolved. TMZ reports that Kemp has not been served with the injunction, making it impossible to determine whether a permanent injunction is possible at this stage. 50 Cent’s attorneys argue that she is avoiding being served.
The dispute traces back to a social media back-and-forth that turned personal. After 50 Cent mocked Kemp and Rick Ross’s son over an assault in Florida at gunpoint, Kemp fired back with comments about Sire, accusing him of being on the spectrum and referring to him as ‘slow,’ while also sharing a sexually explicit photo of Daphne Joy, Sire’s mother. 50 Cent responded by filing a lawsuit and seeking an injunction that would bar Kemp from talking about Sire.
The case has already produced several rounds of action. 50 Cent was previously granted a temporary restraining order against Kemp last month, and he recently revealed that he got her Instagram account suspended from going Live. Kemp, for her part, has remained defiant in her online posts since the lawsuit was filed.
For now, the December 7 hearing is the next date circled on the calendar, and both sides appear dug in. Whether Kemp gets served before then — and what the judge decides when they return — will determine whether this online feud finally gets a legal ending or keeps playing out in public.
