DaBaby and DaniLeigh Finally Settle Their Custody and Child Support Battle Over Daughter Velour
Written by Kiss Media on 24 October 2026
After years of court dates and headlines, DaBaby and DaniLeigh have finally put their legal battle behind them. The former couple has settled their custody and child support dispute over their 5-year-old daughter, Velour.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, DaBaby and DaniLeigh signed a 13-page agreement covering custody and support for their daughter, Velour Babyleigh Kirk. Under the deal, DaBaby will pay monthly child support — though the exact amount has not been disclosed, and the details of their custody arrangement remain private.
The case started back in 2024, when DaniLeigh filed a paternity case seeking child support, describing herself as Velour’s primary caregiver. DaBaby pushed back, saying he has been actively involved in his daughter’s life since birth, and asked the court to establish him as her legal father and set child support and joint custody.
The settlement closes a painful chapter for a pair whose split played out painfully in public. DaBaby and DaniLeigh broke up in November 2021, just months after Velour was born, after an argument between them aired on Instagram Live. It was a messy ending to a relationship that had already been through plenty of ups and downs.
But in recent times, the two have shown they can come together when it counts for their daughter. In September, they both attended the Rookie Kids runway event in New York City to support Velour, and back in 2023 they teamed up for her second birthday celebration.
For now, the most important thing is that Velour gets to grow up with both parents in her corner — and without her parents’ business playing out in a courtroom. If you are feeling DaBaby’s biggest hit all over again, run it back here: DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch – “ROCKSTAR” (Official Music Video).
