Judge Grants 50 Cent a Restraining Order Against Tia Kemp — She Must Stay 500 Feet From His Son Sire

Written by on 29 October 2026

The bitter feud between 50 Cent and Tia Kemp has officially moved from Instagram into a courtroom — and this time, a judge has stepped in.

A Miami-Dade County judge has granted 50 Cent a temporary restraining order against Kemp, Rick Ross’s ex, restricting her contact with the rapper’s 14-year-old son, Sire. Under the order, granted Monday (Oct. 26), Kemp must stay at least 500 feet away from Sire and cannot contact him directly or indirectly — including through social media. The order also bars her from possessing firearms or ammunition, and requires her to surrender any weapons in her possession once served.

The ruling follows 50’s petition alleging that Kemp repeatedly targeted his teenage son online as their increasingly personal dispute escalated. His attorneys accused her of making derogatory claims about Sire’s developmental health and sharing an image of him alongside sexually explicit material allegedly involving his mother, Daphne Joy. Those allegations formed the basis of the request for protection.

Before seeking court intervention, 50’s attorneys reportedly sent Kemp a cease-and-desist letter demanding she remove the posts. According to his filing, she responded by sharing part of the notice online with a profanity-laced caption. Kemp, for her part, has accused 50 of instigating the confrontation and trying to intimidate her with legal threats.

The whole saga erupted after 50 mocked the alleged pistol-whipping of William Roberts III, Kemp’s 21-year-old son with Rick Ross, and publicly offered legal assistance to the man accused of attacking him. That prompted Kemp to lash out at the rapper — and eventually bring Sire into their exchanges.

On Tuesday, 50 shared an Instagram photo with Sire and condemned online harassment of children. “It’s not ok to bully minors on line, kids have killed themselves over things people have said about them,” he wrote, before warning Kemp that her “gangster granny act” wouldn’t work.

Importantly, this restraining order is separate from the federal lawsuit 50 filed in California, in which he is seeking at least $6 million in damages over Kemp’s alleged statements about Sire, including defamation and invasion-of-privacy claims. The temporary order expires Nov. 3, when both sides are scheduled to return to court and a judge will consider whether to extend the protections beyond that date.

Whatever side you’re on, one thing both camps should agree on: kids should be off limits. This story is far from over, and we’ll be watching what happens when both sides return to court on Nov. 3.
