Keyshia Ka’oir Fires Back: “My Husband Was NOT the One Who Called the Police” on Gucci Mane
Written by Kiss Media on 25 October 2026
Keyshia Ka’oir is not letting the internet tell her husband’s story for him. As chatter around Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty continues to swirl, Ka’oir stepped in this weekend to defend Gucci Mane against the persistent claim that he snitched on his former 1017 artist — and she did it in her own words, with no filter.
The conversation reignited after Ebro and Nedeska discussed Gucci Mane’s new album, Against All Odds, on Apple Music. Ebro argued that the “snitching” label makes no sense in this case: as he put it, if a business partner wants out of a deal and shows up with guns, calling the police is not betrayal — it’s self-preservation. “I’m trying to understand as an executive who signed another person,” Ebro said. “We were doing business together. You wanted to relinquish said business deal, but you wanted to do that with guns. And I’m supposed to not call the police.”
Ka’oir reposted the clip with her own message, and she went further than Ebro did. “They painted this CRAZY false narrative about my husband, and the whole world ran with it!” she wrote. “Mind u MY HUSBAND WAS NOT THE ONE WHO CALLED THE POPO! Which it doesn’t even matter anyway! 9 ninjas pulled down on ONE man with G*NS! COWARD MOVE! Especially when he was called there for a MEETING to discuss the boy’s album! NO BEEF! NO PRIOR ISSUES! NOTHING! Just pure jealousy, greed, and ungratefulness! All because somebody promised him money to leave 1017! The betrayal, the stupidity, the ILLITERACY OF IT ALL and this the behavior yall praise!!!”
The backdrop is the alleged January incident in a Dallas studio involving Pooh Shiesty, in which Gucci Mane was reportedly robbed and held at gunpoint in an attempt to force his release from his 1017 contract. Gucci Mane has already answered on wax: “CRASH DUMMY,” from Against All Odds, takes on the fallout directly, and the album’s closing track “1017” calls out former artists he says turned their backs after he put them on. For Ka’oir, though, this is personal, not promotional. Her post reads less like a rollout and more like a wife who is tired of watching a false story harden into fact. Whether the online debate moves on or not, she has now put her version on the record in plain language — and she is clearly not done defending her husband’s name.
