Roc Nation’s Lenny S on a Jay-Z and Kanye Super Bowl Reunion: “The Game Is Sadly Developing Too Much Amnesia”
Written by Kiss Media on 1 November 2026

Every time Jay-Z’s Super Bowl halftime show comes up, the same question follows: who will join him onstage? And every time, one name sparks the loudest debate — Kanye West. Now, a voice from inside Jay’s own circle has weighed in, and his reaction is turning heads.
A social media post making the rounds suggested the former Watch the Throne collaborators have until Valentine’s Day 2027 to reconcile and reunite during Hov’s halftime performance at Super Bowl LXI. Longtime Roc Nation executive Lenny S — Lenny Santiago, who has worked closely with Jay-Z since their Roc-A-Fella days — left a brief but pointed comment beneath the post: “The game is sadly developing too much amnesia.”
Lenny didn’t elaborate or name Ye directly, but the timing is hard to ignore. With Jay-Z officially confirmed to headline the halftime show, speculation about potential guests has run from Beyoncé to Rihanna, and a Kanye reunion has become one of the most talked-about possibilities despite the considerable damage to their relationship over the years.
That damage is no secret. In March 2025, Ye targeted Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger twins with offensive comments that drew widespread condemnation, and his history of antisemitic statements has further complicated any prospect of a major televised appearance. Although Ye has since apologized, there has been no public indication that Jay and Beyoncé have forgiven those particular attacks.
Not everyone in the culture has ruled a reunion out. On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden suggested Jay could still bring Ye onto the halftime stage, with his co-hosts agreeing — though Marc Lamont Hill pushed back, arguing that Ye’s comments about Jay’s children aren’t easy to overlook and questioning whether the NFL would welcome the rapper given his history.
Jay himself hasn’t closed the door on Kanye’s artistry, at least. During his 2026 documentary series with Rick Rubin, he praised Ye’s creativity, calling him one of the most brilliant creatives we’re ever going to see. But praising someone’s talent is not the same as repairing a personal relationship — and Lenny’s comment reads like a reminder from inside the camp that some things aren’t so easily forgotten.
As the countdown to Super Bowl LXI continues, the guest list remains one of music’s biggest guessing games. Lenny S just made it clear where at least one person in Hov’s orbit stands.
