Velvet Vibes Live Brings an Interactive R&B Day Party to Docklands on November 28

Wilmington, this is not your average live music event. Velvet Vibes Live — The Saturday Social day party — comes to Docklands Riverfront on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and it is an interactive R&B experience: live R&B and soul with the Velvet Remedy Band, great food, cocktails, and crowd sing-alongs.

The day party is set for Docklands Riverfront, 110 S West Street, Wilmington, hosted by Tashia C. The band does not just perform for the crowd — they perform with the crowd, so come ready to sing along. The event is 21 and over after 5:00 PM. Early-bird tickets are $10 plus fees ($12.51 total on Eventbrite, with the early-bird discount applied).

A Saturday afternoon on the Riverfront, a live band, and a room full of people singing every word — that is the Velvet Vibes formula. Sing, vibe, repeat.

HISTORY

The interactive live-band party has deep roots in Black music culture — from the church-rooted call-and-response tradition to the R&B revue shows where the crowd was always part of the performance. Velvet Vibes Live carries that torch in Delaware: the Velvet Remedy Band builds its nights around powerhouse vocalists, live musicians, and surprise performances, turning a day party into a jam session where the audience is in the band.

That sing-along energy is what made R&B a communal experience in the first place — songs passed down, choruses everybody knows, and a room that sings louder than the speakers. On November 28, the Saturday Social brings that feeling to Docklands.
