Man Charged After Lewd Conduct in Dunes at Delaware Seashore State Park

Delaware Natural Resources Police say a man is facing multiple charges after he was spotted engaging in lewd conduct in the dunes at Conquest Beach in Delaware Seashore State Park on Monday, October 13.
Police say the man, who was not identified in the report, was witnessed in the dunes area engaging in lewd behavior. Officers arrested him on charges of lewdness, indecent exposure, entering and remaining on closed lands without written permission, and using a facility for an activity other than its intended purpose — all misdemeanors — plus failing to pay an admittance fee, a violation.
The man was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Video Court and released on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was also given a no-contact order covering the victim or witness and all Delaware State Parks.
Natural Resources Police reminded visitors that certain activities simply do not belong in public spaces — especially state parks — and urged anyone who sees suspicious behavior to report it to park staff or authorities.
