Wilmington Card Collector Among Victims of $1M FedEx Truck Heist

Written by on 22 October 2026

A North Wilmington business owner is among the victims of a heist that wiped out nearly $1 million in rare trading cards.

Alessandro Spennato, owner of Sitaly to Go in North Wilmington, says all 82 of his wrestling cards were stolen — including about 10 one-of-a-kind cards and a treasured Roman Reigns collection he values at roughly $75,000.

The cards were taken last week from a FedEx truck parked outside Professional Sports Authenticator, or PSA, in Santa Ana, California — the biggest card grading company in the world. Collectors from across the country had shipped their cards there to be examined, encapsulated and graded.

Police say no arrests have been made. PSA’s parent company says it deactivated the certificates of the missing cards and is working on compensation based on fair market value, though Spennato questions how a value can be set on cards that rarely sell.

The heist is one of several card thefts reported across the country this year, including incidents in New York, Boston, Montgomery County and parts of South Jersey.
