Jay-Z’s SoFi Tickets Plummeted to $20 Before Showtime — and the Arena Was Still Packed

Written by on 24 October 2026

Here’s proof that a falling ticket price doesn’t mean a falling star: Jay-Z took the stage at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday night for the first of two shows, and by showtime, resale tickets had crashed all the way down to just $20.

According to resale data from TicketData reported by TMZ, those $20 seats — up in the upper bowl, far from the stage — averaged around $61 just three days earlier on Tuesday, a 67% dip in three days. That $20 get-in price, fees included, was also down 76% over the last 30 days and 93% below the all-time highest get-in price of $284. That’s the kind of last-minute slide that usually happens when sellers get desperate to unload tickets they can’t use and resellers decide to take a loss rather than eat the whole ticket, and TMZ notes such pre-show dips are fairly standard.

But here’s the twist: the building was packed anyway. One social media photo briefly suggested a thinned-out crowd, but videos from inside SoFi show a sea of fans rapping along to every single lyric, and TMZ concluded the show was packed — proving that a bargain ticket doesn’t make a bargain show.

Hov delivered a marathon 33-song set that ran through the catalog — from “Hovi Baby” and “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)” to “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” “99 Problems,” and “Empire State of Mind.” Blue Ivy Carter joined her father on stage for “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents,” Scarface came through for “This Can’t Be Life” and “Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” and the night closed out with “God Did” alongside DJ Khaled and John Legend.

The Los Angeles stop follows a run of celebrated shows, including his Yankee Stadium dates and well-received turns in London and Paris — and Friday night showed that no matter what the resale market says, Hov can still fill a stadium and hold it in the palm of his hand.
