Philly legend Freeway is bringing that raw Roc-A-Fella energy to the Wilmington Riverfront! Catch him LIVE at Docklands on Friday, October 30 at 8 PM.
THE ARTIST
Freeway (Leslie Pridgen) is Philadelphia hip-hop royalty. He exploded onto the scene in the early 2000s as part of Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records dynasty, standing shoulder to shoulder with Beanie Sigel and the State Property crew. His 2003 debut album Philadelphia Freeway is a certified Philly classic, powered by the Just Blaze-produced anthems “What We Do” (featuring Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel) and “Flipside” (featuring Peedi Crakk).
With his unmistakable bearded flow and deeply personal lyricism — including his public journey with kidney disease and transplant, which he has spoken about openly to inspire others — Freeway has remained one of the most respected voices to come out of North Philly for over two decades.
